Tradition and research come together in the production of vestments at the service of the liturgy so that selected materials, unique design and attention to workmanship can accompany with noble simplicity the beauty of the mystery celebrated.
The Beato Angelico School is a cult foundation. Since its foundation in 1934, the School has been dedicated to the Christian formation of artists as an Artistic Lyceum and an Art Institute.
From the study of the design conceived by the School in the 1990’s, a unique braid is born, created with the mastery of embroidery and inlay.
The weave, hand-woven on a loom, blends harmoniously with embroidery in nuanced tones, while the velvet inlay enriches the whole with a sophisticated elegance.
The mantle of the chasuble is woven in fine wool and golden lurex.
The damask fabric with the cross comes from a drawing by Mons. Polvara made for the School in the years 1930-40. The same design was then carefully transposed into the stolon.
The crosses, embroidered in red lurex, stand out on a golden, hand-woven background, as do those that adorn the cloak, in a reflection of light and tradition.
